Sad News As Doctors Declare Boniface Mwangi Kariuki Clinically Dead
Spread the love

Boniface Mwangi Kariuki the mask-seller who was shot and critically injured by police is clinically dead.

According to a family source, doctors at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) confirmed on Monday that he is clinically dead, with almost no hope of recovery.

Medical reports indicate Boniface suffered severe brain damage, with nearly 80 percent of his brain no longer functional. This condition means that, despite machines keeping his body alive, he has no conscious brain activity and cannot survive on his own.

Clinically dead refers to a state where critical brain functions, especially those that control awareness and independent survival, have technically stopped. Although machines can keep organs like the heart or lungs operating for some time, the damage to the brain is irreversible.

Doctors revealed that most of Boniface’s organs are functioning at minimal capacity and require extensive support. His life is currently being sustained by life support machines, which come at a high financial and emotional cost to the family.

With the reality of the situation sinking in, KNH has officially invited the family to the hospital to discuss the next steps. The medical team explained that chances of Boniface making any form of recovery are virtually nonexistent.

The anguished family now faces the heartbreaking decision of whether to continue life support or let him rest in peace.

Friends, relatives, and well-wishers have expressed solidarity with the family, urging them to stay strong during this difficult period. The situation has also reignited conversations about the emotional and financial burden families carry when dealing with life support decisions.

Boniface’s condition remains critical as the family consults with doctors and spiritual leaders to chart the way forward.
