Ex-Rarieda Constituency Member of Parliament Francis Bob Jalang’o (Nyanduga) is dead.
Although word of his death was circulated on social media Thursday the family officially released news of his passing on Friday morning.
Rarieda MP Paul Otiende Amollo has also confirmed the demise of the former legislator.
Jalang’o served in the Sixth Parliament as the first MP of Rarieda Constituency between 1988 to 1992.
His death has been mourned as sudden and shocking.
MP Otiende Amollo has eulogized the former MP as a dedicated leader who initiated the foundation for development projects in Rarieda Constituency.
“It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I learn of the demise of Hon. Bob Francis Jalang’o Nyanduga,” said Senior Counsel Otiende Amollo, adding “Hon. Jalango holds a special place in the history of Rarieda, having been the inaugural Member of Parliament for Rarieda Constituency, serving from 1988 to 1992. His tenure laid a foundation for our Constituency which continue to shape the Rarieda we know today. On behalf of the great people of Rarieda Constituency, my family and I, we extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Hon. Bob Francis Jalango. We share in your grief during this immensely trying time. His legacy of Service and his pioneering spirit will forever be etched in the annals of Rarieda’s history. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
