In a supercharged, thrilling final display of footballing artistry between Nyanza region Junior Secondary Schools held at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Stadium in Siaya, Karapul Junior Secondary beat their Kisumu counterparts 2—0 to advance to the finals.

In attendance was Siaya County Secretary Mr. Joseph Ogutu who ably represented Governor James Aggrey Bob Orengo. Also present were other county officers and elected leaders.
Competitors participated in volleyball, football, netball and basketball.
The winners will be feted with trophies donated by the Siaya Governor as well as other contingencies which included provision of water and soft drinks for all participants.
The teams were drawn from Kisii, Homabay, Kisumu, Siaya and Migori Counties. The winners will now participate in the National Junior Secondary Schools Championships to be held in Kakamega later this year.
