In a dramatic and pivotal development in Kenyan politics today, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party’s Central Management Committee (CMC) has directed Party Leader Dr. Oburu Oginga to immediately begin intense negotiations with political parties, starting with President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA), with the aim of forging a broad political alliance for the 2027 General Election.
The resolution was passed at a crucial session of the CMC convened in Vipingo Ridge, Kilifi County, where senior ODM officials gathered amid heightened internal tensions and lingering debate over the party’s post-Raila Odinga direction.
