Legislators, local leaders, dignitaries, senior parliamentary officers, friends and family have gathered at the residence of the late Hon. Johana Ng’eno to offer messages of condolence and comfort to the grieving family.
The emotional gathering comes hours after the tragic helicopter crash in Mosop, Nandi County on February 28, 2026 that claimed the life of the fiery three-term Emurua Dikirr MP and five others. His body has been transferred to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi, where a dedicated parliamentary team is already coordinating support and funeral arrangements.

Members of Parliament who worked closely with the late legislator expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the family. They paid glowing tribute to Hon. Ng’eno’s unwavering dedication to the nation and his constituents in Narok County.
The outspoken MP, who chaired the National Assembly’s Housing, Urban Planning and Public Works Committee, was remembered as a bold, fearless and selfless leader who fearlessly championed justice, equity and opportunities for the youth and local artists.
Thousands of residents have also thronged his rural home in Mogondo Ward, Emurua Dikirr, filling the air with mourning, wailing and heartfelt stories of a man who served without fear.
As tributes pour in from leaders across the political divide, Kenya mourns the sudden loss of a dedicated public servant who represented his people with passion since 2013.
Funeral plans are advancing rapidly. A bold voice has fallen silent, but his legacy of fearless service will endure.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
