Gospel Musician Ringtone Apoko Charged with Defrauding Woman of Land Worth KES 50 Million
Gospel artiste Alex Nyachonga Apoko was today arraigned in Milimani Law Courts alongside Alfred Juma Ayora for defrauding a businesswoman of a parcel of land worth KES 50 Million.
The duo were remanded by Senior Principal Magistrate Dolphina Alego without bail option.
The accused allegedly conspired to fraudulently acquire land parcel number NAIROBI/BLOCK 99/142**, measuring approximately 0.1908 hectares, belonging to Terresia Adhiambo Odhiambo.

Knowingly, the accused signed a false affidavit claiming they had occupied the same parcel of land for two decades.
They were therefore charged with three counts; conspiracy to defraud, forgery, and perjury, in connection to a property located in the Karen area of Nairobi.
The prosecution noted that as a sign of ill-will on February 28, 2023, in Nairobi, the duo swore a false affidavit before advocate S.M. Katonya declaring long-term occupancy of the disputed property—an act said to have been committed with full knowledge of its falsification.
The Senior Principal Magistrate Dolphina Alego will on Monday next week make a ruling on whether to grant Ringtone Apoko and his co-accused bail or not.
Meanwhile, reports have flooded social media spaces in the past that the gospel artiste was living beyond his means with possible connection to the Nairobi wash-wash gangs.
Apoko has been at the center of wrangles involving land and property worth millions in the leafy suburbs of Nairobi – property which he could not have acquired from his lacklustre musical career.
