Former Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga has sent out a trite warning to erudite Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna to watch out.
The warning comes in the wake of unexpected massive support from opposition scion Raila Amollo Odinga
“They could be fattening Sifuna for slaughter,” Omanga wrote on her X handle.
This means they could be praising him and treating him nicely now, only to bring him down later. She said that in politics, when people start praising you too much all of a sudden, it can be a trap.
She said that for many days, Sifuna was being attacked by some people inside ODM. Raila did not say anything to defend him. But now, out of nowhere, Baba is calling Sifuna brave and wise. Omanga said this sudden love does not look real. She believes something big is being planned behind the scenes.
Omanga said maybe the party wants to use Sifuna for now, maybe to attract young voters or to fight some political enemies, then later throw him away when they are done with him. She said ODM has done this before with other young leaders.
She also asked why ODM leaders like Junet Mohamed, who used to be close to Raila, are now very quiet. She said this silence is a sign that something is cooking.
Omanga warned Sifuna to open his eyes and not allow himself to be used like a goat that is fattened before being killed. She said, “In politics, they will smile at you, praise you, and even clap for you, then finish you the next day.”
She told Kenyans to watch carefully because what is happening in ODM does not look honest. She said the sudden praise might be the beginning of betrayal. Something is being planned, and Sifuna should not be too excited.
