Kenya Power Announces Power Outages in 6 Counties on Wednesday

Kenya Power has announced that six counties will experience planned power interruptions on Wednesday, August 13, to facilitate routine maintenance works.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, August 12, the company detailed the affected regions and outage schedules as follows:

Nairobi Region – Makueni County

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Areas affected: Kola, Kilala, Ukiah, Mukuyuni, Nziu, Kyambalasi, Utangwa Kivani, Kali, and adjacent customers.

North Rift Region – Trans Nzoia County

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Areas affected: Milimani, Kitale Hospital, Crystal Cottage Hospital, Gallie, Natembeya Foundation, Milimani Booster, Shimo La Tewa, and surrounding customers.

Nandi County

Time: 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Areas affected: Ollesos Technical, Timbilil, Cheptuing’eny, and nearby customers.

Mt. Kenya Region – Nyeri County

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Areas affected: Gatondo Market, Itundu, Gachuguina, Kiawaiguru, Muthuthiini, and surrounding areas.

Embu County

Time: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Areas affected: Koimugo, Sunmoon, Jerusalem, Njukiri Primary, Kenya Forest Njukiri, Kiangatunyi, and nearby customers.

Kitui County

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Areas affected: Kathungi, Silanga, Kyeni, Masimba, Kanyangii, Kanyongonyo, Kangukangu, and adjacent customers.

Kenya Power urged customers in the affected regions to make necessary arrangements to avoid disruptions.
