The man who boldly claims to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ is now pleading for survival. Eliud Wekesa, popularly known as **Yesu wa Tongaren**, has issued a desperate public appeal as hunger ravages his family in Tongaren, Bungoma County.
“I, my wife, and my children are suffering,” Yesu wa Tongaren said in a heartfelt cry circulating widely on social media on January 10, 2026. “We are calling on anyone willing to support us financially or with food. Hunger might kill us. School fees is a headache and we did not even celebrate Christmas.”
