In a major boost for Kenya’s humanitarian and diplomatic profile, Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, has been bestowed the prestigious title of International Eminent Peace Ambassador by the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA).
The award recognizes Mosiria’s outstanding humanitarian efforts and dedication to improving lives across Kenya, marking him as the first recipient of this elite honor in the country for 2026.
The official award letter, dated December 20, 2025, and signed by IAWPA’s World Peace Spokesman, His Eminence Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke, praises Mosiria’s “kind humanitarian gestures” and “determined effort in making lives better for all.”
A high-profile decoration ceremony is scheduled for today – the second Sunday of January 2026 – in Nairobi, with global dignitaries in attendance.
Present will be a star-studded array of dignitaries including:
– World Peace President — His Excellency Amb. Per Stafsen from the Kingdom of Denmark, who will personally decorate Mosiria.
– Africa President of IAWPA — His Eminence King Amb. Eugine Mahlangu from South Africa, adding royal prestige.
– The event will also launch the Peace Begins With Campaign in Kenya – a grassroots initiative promoting peace across countries.
As an International Eminent Peace Ambassador, Mosiria is now expected to represent Kenya at United Nations conferences worldwide, advocating for peace, social justice, and sustainable development.
IAWPA is a respected international NGO with United Nations ECOSOC Special Consultative Status since 2019. It actively promotes the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across 193 member states, focusing on peace education, conflict resolution, and support for vulnerable communities.
Known for his philanthropic work and public service, Mosiria previously served as Chief Officer for Environment before his recent reassignment.
This diplomatic honor elevates his role on the global stage, positioning him as a key Kenyan voice in international peace efforts.
Recipients and organizers urge interested parties to contact Bishop Amos for ceremony details.
This award not only celebrates Mosiria’s achievements but signals Kenya’s growing influence in global peace advocacy.
