ADVERTISEMENT Fresh details have emerged in the investigation into the fatal road traffic accident that claimed the life of former legislator and political power broker Hon. Cyrus Jirongo, with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) confirming that a comprehensive inquiry is nearing completion and will soon be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for appropriate action.
In an update issued on Tuesday, the DCI said detectives are pursuing a wide-ranging, methodical and evidence-driven investigation into the crash that occurred on the night of December 13, 2025, at Karai area along the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway, one of Kenya’s busiest and most accident-prone corridors.
