In a stunning twist that has left residents of Siaya County reeling, a serving police officer has been unmasked as the mastermind behind a chilling wave of violent robberies.
Police Constable Mark Owino —also known as “Owis” in some circles—was dramatically arrested Saturday evening at around 7:40 pm at Holo Police Station. The takedown came after viral CCTV footage from a brazen February 4, 2026, robbery at Ajigo Trading Center in Bondo sub-county went viral, showing armed suspects harassing a helpless trader, looting his goods, and speeding off on a motorcycle in the dead of night.
