A chilling sense of déjà vu has gripped Mombasa after the body of a middle-aged woman was discovered dumped in the Senti Kumi area of Likoni—the latest in a string of killings that have sparked alarm over rising cases of suspected femicide at the Coast.
Witnesses reported that the woman’s body was found under disturbing circumstances, believed to have been abandoned at the scene by unknown individuals. Police officers, alongside detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, quickly moved in, combing the area for forensic evidence before transferring the remains to the Coast General Hospital mortuary as investigations began.
