Heartwarming visit to Uthiru children’s home and Cerebral Palsy Society caps off 2025 with compassion, global solidarity, and smiles.
The International Police Association (IPA) Kenya Section closed the year 2025 on a high note of compassion, generosity, and global friendship after delivering festive cheer to vulnerable children in Nairobi in a heart-touching end-year outreach.
Living up to its enduring mantra, “Service Through Friendship,” the IPA Kenya Section—working in partnership with the IPA Germany Section—spent the final day of the year with children at the Children’s Garden Home & School in Uthiru, marking a powerful return to a bond first forged last year.
The visit, the second by the Association to the home, was a vivid reminder that true service is not a one-off act but a sustained relationship built on love, trust, and shared humanity.
The day unfolded in a warm, vibrant atmosphere as children took centre stage, showcasing their talents through song and dance. Their confident performances, infectious energy, and creativity transformed the home into a hub of laughter and celebration, leaving guests visibly moved.
Beyond the performances, the IPA team delivered essential foodstuffs and clothing, generously donated by members of the IPA Kenya Section. The initiative was led by IPA Kenya President Mr Jared Ojuok, SSP, alongside Mr Daniel Lorch of the IPA Germany Section, highlighting the power of international police friendship beyond borders and uniforms.
Partners in Compassion Step Forward
The success of the outreach was further strengthened by the support of friends of the Association, including Dr Marietta Reformado and the Cutchi Gujarati Hindu Union Shiv Temple (CGHU), who donated clothes and diapers. Their involvement underscored the growing culture of shared responsibility in uplifting the most vulnerable members of society.
In a parallel act of kindness, another team of IPA Kenya members reached out to the Cerebral Palsy Society of Kenya, also in Nairobi, where they donated diapers and clothing, ensuring that children living with special needs were not left out of the festive season.
This dual outreach amplified the Association’s impact, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive service and community support.
By dedicating the last day of 2025 to service, connection, and compassion, the International Police Association Kenya Section demonstrated that policing goes beyond law enforcement—it is about humanity, empathy, and building bridges within communities.
The IPA is a non-governmental organisation that brings together serving and retired police officers regardless of rank, gender, race, language, or religion. Its mission is to foster friendship, promote international cooperation, and enhance the public image of policing through social, cultural, and professional engagement.
As the year closed, IPA Kenya did not just give donations—it gave hope, dignity, and friendship, proving once again that the strongest legacy of service is the smiles it leaves behind.
