Change of Tune — Activist Morara Kebaso Now Attacks Opposition
Spread the love

In a strange turn of events vocal Kenya Kwanza administration critic Morara Kebaso yesterday trained his guns on the opposition saying they had nothing better to offer in comparison to President Dr William Samoei Ruto.

Morara Kebaso who is the Party leader of INJECT unleashed a scathing attack on the opposition, maintaining that they provide no credible alternative to President William Ruto and will likely fail to deliver the long-overdue change even if they secure the presidency in 2027.

Speaking in Meru on Monday, May 26, 2025, Morara did not mince his words as he openly named the opposition figures he was referring to, listing former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, former Agriculture Minister Mithika Linturi, and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

According to him, the country’s Generation Z voters ought to grasp this truth early enough so that they can shift direction when deciding where to cast their votes in the high-stakes 2027 General Election.

“All those leaders who are in opposition — Kalonzo, Gachagua, Linturi — they cannot change Kenya; we have already seen that William Ruto’s leadership is not good; however, even if you remove Ruto and install Gachagua and Linturi, the situation will be far worse,” he said.

Morara did not spare the Gen Z either and called them to action saying they are now the nation’s hope and the only way they can make a takeover is if they register as voters in huge numbers and prepare to vie for elective positions.

He urged them to begin campaigning for seats immediately so that they may wield commanding influence by the 2027 elections, warning that relying on older politicians to deliver the leadership they desire will prove futile.

“As young people, let us not merely commit ourselves to voting; let us commit ourselves to becoming leaders. I would love to see Generation Z stepping forward to become leaders — members of parliament, senators, members of county assemblies, and others. You are the change that you want,” he added.

Kindiki’s handouts
Further, Morara turned his ire towards Deputy President Kithure Kindiki over his recent distribution of monetary handouts and gifts to the people of Mt Kenya, condemning the practice as misguided since the funds are intended for development projects.

He appealed to the Mt Kenya community, who are being enticed by these handouts, to reject them, observing that continuing to accept such largesse will result in the permanent absence of vital projects such as roads and hospitals, since these funds are earmarked precisely for those essential works.

“Now, Kindiki moves everywhere with money stuffed in his vehicle, handing it out to Bodaboda riders and women; however, that money is meant for development, for purchasing hospital equipment so that cancer patients may undergo surgery, and also for constructing roads. Yet, you consume that money, and it vanishes.

“Therefore, I implore the people of Meru to stop consuming that money and instead demand your roads and hospitals. I also tell the people of Meru that this small amount of money you are given should have been invested in projects that would provide employment for many young people,” he declared.

Morara, who was speaking following his ‘Vampire Diaries’ exposé in the Mutuma M’ethingia-led county, lamented that he had observed the county’s main cash crop, miraa, was driving many youths into idleness and an affinity for laziness.

The INJECT Party leader has launched countrywide campaigns dubbed Not Too Young to Lead. Together with Kasmuel Mc’Oure the youthful activists appear to have come across a downpour of good financial fortune, lately, that is being attributed to a bromance with the State.

Last month legislator Peter Salasya was on a similar State-funded campaign but his idiosyncrasies and known penchant for inhaling cannabis might have led to the fallout with his handlers.
