ADVERTISEMENT A Guardian Angel Luxury Coaches bus carrying students was involved in a serious road accident this morning, Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the notorious Kimende escarpment along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway. In a remarkable stroke of fortune, all students and other passengers emerged unharmed, according to police and eyewitness accounts.
The incident happened at around 9:00 a.m. as schools reopened across the country and many families travelled upcountry or returned students to boarding schools. The bus, travelling from Nairobi towards Nakuru, veered off the steep, winding section of the highway and rolled into a shallow ravine.
