The CECM for Governance, Administration and ICT Mr. Agunda Ochanda convened a meeting to review the Strategic Plan for the Department of Governance, Administration, and ICT.
The Strategic Plan 2025-2028 serves as a critical roadmap to guide the department’s priorities, align resources, and enhance service delivery over the next three years.
By setting clear objectives and actionable strategies, the plan ensures effective governance, streamlined administration, and innovative ICT solutions, fostering sustainable development and improved stakeholder engagement for Siaya County.
In other news, the family of Siaya resident Ruth Akoth Owino who was arrested in Saudi Arabia have called out to well-wishers to help them raise KES 28,000 which is equivalent to the amount she was fined.
The family of Akoth has said their daughter together with her two kids left Ugunja to go and look for work in Nairobi but was lured by a friend to go for greener pastures in Saudi Arabia.
Akoth signed a contract with an employment agency but on arriving at Saudi Arabia found the working conditions unfavourable. She hustled and raised sufficient money for her transport back home but was arrested at the airport and charged with breach of contract.
