A bold push to energise youth participation in Kenya’s democratic process took centre stage in Ugunja Constituency as Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi launched the #NikoKadi voter registration initiative, calling on young Kenyans to take charge of their future through the ballot.
Speaking at Pap Mungao Grounds in Sigomere Ward, Wandayi underscored a simple but powerful truth: democracy only thrives when every voice is heard. The #NikoKadi campaign, he said, is designed to close persistent voter registration gaps—especially among the youth—and restore public confidence in governance systems.
