An uproar is brewing at Kodunga village of Nina area in Kaugagi Hawinga sub-Location of West Alego in Siaya County as a minor has gone berserk and repeatedly sexually molests goats.
“What started as an isolated incident has now become a regular practice and the boy has attacked my two goats as well as the neighbors and we now live in fear not knowing what he will do next,” said Rosemary Hamala a terrified octogenarian.
Rosemary lives with her two grandchildren one of whom suffers from sickle cell disease and she claims to be defenceless against the young terror.
The minor (name withheld) is said to have stopped attending a local primary school at Grade Four. His parents have reprimanded him of this strange behavior but it appears to be a deep-seated disorder.
Villagers are now appealing to the authorities to move in and salvage the situation before it gets out of hand.
Efforts to reach out to the newly appointed Hawinga sub-Location Assistant Chief Madam Edlight Ondeng were unsuccessful.

Our reporter confirmed from the neighborhood that the Mudimbe, Hamala and goats belonging to the minors’ own family have all been subjected to this indecent behavior although everything has been kept hush-hush.
Psychiatrist June Wathika says having sex with domestic animals is not considered strictly as a mental disorder.
“We don’t really know why some people are sexually attracted to animals. Some researchers feel it’s a sexual orientation like adults who are attracted to children, or people who are attracted to same-gender partners. Others think it may be due to traumatic experiences in early life. Although right now it is not strictly classified under mental health disorders, except in very extreme rare cases. People who are attracted to animals also have paraphilic interests such as pedophilia, voyeurism and S&M,” said Dr. Wathika.
Although bestiality is a crime in Kenya the legal parameters to enforce sentencing still remain ambiguous.
For instance a court would need to determine whether penetration was an essential element of that particular offence of bestiality and whether the term bestiality had a well-understood legal meaning by the offender as enshrined in the common law.
Such ambiguities have let offenders walk scot-free.
For Onyango Akimbi, a Legio Maria cleric resident in the vicinity of the incident, it is the world that is approaching it’s end.
