Homa Bay, Kenya – August 12, 2025
The stage is set for the Devolution Conference 2025 in Homa Bay, which officially opened its exhibition segment today, August 12, and will run until August 15. President Dr. William Samoei Ruto and former Premier Right Honourable Raila Amollo Odinga, will preside over the opening ceremony tomorrow, marking the start of three days of showcasing county achievements, innovation, and culture.
Siaya County has completed its preparations and unveiled a striking stand that blends heritage and modernity. Adorned with vibrant art, intricate crafts, and historical memorabilia, the booth is already drawing attention from delegates and visitors.
Speaking during the launch, Siaya County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Trade, Grace Agola, said the county was determined to maintain its strong reputation in cultural exhibitions. “Siaya has been recognised in Tanzania and South Sudan for our outstanding artefacts. Here in Homa Bay, we’re showcasing the same award-winning spirit — combining tradition with innovation to attract investors and inspire partnerships,” she said.

The exhibition will also spotlight investment opportunities, locally driven development projects, and innovations from Siaya’s entrepreneurs. According to county officials, this aligns with Siaya’s broader strategy to boost economic growth, promote sustainable tourism, and enhance regional collaboration.
The Devolution Conference 2025 has attracted thousands of delegates, including governors, county officials, development partners, and private sector leaders, making it one of the country’s premier platforms for governance, policy dialogue, and inter-county cooperation.
Visitors are encouraged to tour the Siaya stand to experience “the best of Siaya — past, present, and future.”
