The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced the appointment of four new directors following a competitive recruitment process.
In a statement on Friday, September 12, SHA Chairperson Abdi Mohamed said the recruitment exercise began on July 29, 2025, and was conducted in a transparent manner.
The new appointees are:
Dr. Diana Marion – Director, Provider and Beneficiary Management
Golda Larissa Akolo – Director, Benefits and Claims Management
Mohamed Alio Ibrahim – Director, Corporate Services
Jonathan Leisen – Director, Funds and Finance Management

Mohamed said the appointments will strengthen the authority’s leadership and help guide its strategic direction.
“The expertise brought in by this team will be crucial in ensuring the Social Health Authority achieves its mandate of providing financial risk protection for Kenyan residents and guaranteeing access to quality healthcare,” the statement read.
The authority also thanked staff for supporting the interim senior management team during the transition period.
Earlier on Friday, SHA advertised 507 job vacancies across various departments, including finance, human resources, ICT, legal, compliance, and administration.
Interested applicants are required to meet the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution and submit their applications by October 3, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
Applications can be filed online via recruitment.sha.go.ke or delivered physically to SHA headquarters on Ragati Road, Nairobi.
