Fresh drama is rocking Ugunja Sub-County after Deputy County Commissioner J.B. Aluodo fired off explosive “show-cause” letters to all local chiefs, threatening them with disciplinary action for distributing government relief food.
In a strongly-worded letter dated 23 February 2026 and marked CONFIDENTIAL, Aluodo accuses the chiefs of “gross misconduct and abuse of office.” He claims they distributed food whose “origin and efficacy in terms of hygiene was not clear” without his authorisation, putting the public at risk.
