The Alego-Usonga Affordable Housing Project launched by President Dr William Samoei Ruto on 30th August 2024 is taking rapid shape.
Once completed, the 882 low cost units will help address housing needs within Siaya town and it’s environs.
The Siaya County Government donated land within the County Referral Hospital compound where the housing units are situated in Siaya central business district.

Meanwhile, just hours ahead of the much anticipated breakfast meeting between President Ruto and leaders from Siaya County, Governor James Aggrey Bob Orengo this morning met Treasury CS John Mbadi at the Siaya Liaison Office in Nairobi.
Orengo who is the head of the delegation to State House tomorrow a short while ago posted on his Twitter handle:
“Held discussions with Hon. CS John Mbadi on development priorities in Siaya ahead of tomorrow’s meeting with the President @WilliamsRuto together with a delegation of Siaya leaders.”
