Rarieda MP Paul Otiende Amollo has threatened to table a motion in Parliament purposing to ban impeached Deputy President Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua from ever occupying public office.
“Everyday you speak, we realized you never learnt your lesson. We now want to remind you that we impeached you under article 75 of the constitution. We did not go far enough, we only impeached you,” Otiende said.
According to the same section under which he was impeached and other supporting tenets of the constitution, Otiende says Gachagua can be barred from seeking electoral positions or holding any public office.
“If you continue speaking that divisive language, we will come back for a special motion under article 75 (3), which then declares that anyone removed from office under article 75 can not stand for any office in life. Do not think there are no consequences. There will be consequences if you continue with divisive language,” said Otiende Amollo.
Gachagua who has gone out on a charm offensive to woo support together with opposition leaders Kalonzo Musyoka and Eugene Wamalwa has surprised Kenyans by profiling other tribes as being cousins while others are outsiders.
His onslaught on his former boss Dr William Samoei Ruto is now becoming weak and mixed-up as his true colors as a tribalist of the highest order seep through.
