The State Department for Diaspora Affairs has issued notices to Kenyans living in Israel and Iran to be on standby for immediate evacuation as war between the two nations escalates.
The statement released on Saturday, June 21, directed Kenyans resident in Iran to submit their details to the State Department for Diaspora Affairs to facilitate emergency assistance.
“For your safety and to ensure we can assist you promptly in case of any emergency or distress, we kindly ask you to register your details with the State Department for Diaspora Affairs,” the notice read.
The department also provided contact information and registration links for Kenyans residing in both countries.
In the case of Israel the notice accompanied by red siren lights read: “Kenyans in Israel, for intervention and evacuation purposes, please update your details with the Kenyan Mission in Tel Aviv or with the State Department for Diaspora Affairs using this link: platform.diaspora.go.ke/api/evacuation…
