Siaya County Engages President Ruto’s Economic Transformation Secretariat to Advance Grassroots Development
Today, the Siaya County Government had the honour of hosting a high-level consultative meeting with the President’s Economic Transformation Secretariat (PETS), a key initiative under President William Ruto’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). This engagement was convened by Governor James Orengo to explore areas of strategic collaboration aimed at accelerating grassroots development in line with national and county priorities.
The PETS delegation was led by Dr. Augustine Cheruiyot and included Dr. Moses Banda, Dr. Daisy Bii, and Mr. Joe Ager. Their visit to Siaya underscores a growing commitment to coordinated development efforts between national and county governments.
Siaya County was strongly represented by both the County Executive and the County Assembly. The siaya delegation was led by the county assembly of siaya Speaker Hon. George Okode, accompanied by MCAs Hon. Fredrick Omoro, Baraka Seth, Peter Oduor, Oliver Arika, Mark Okeyo, and Justus Oguta.
As County Secretary and Head of Public Service, I had the privilege of leading the Executive arm of government in this engagement.
I was joined by CECMs Hon. Grace Agola, Maurice McOrege, Angeline Oduor, Jacqueline Oduol, K’okoth Sylvester, and Agunda Ochanda. Also present were Chief Officers Hon. Walter Okello, Elizabeth Adongo, Kevin Ajuul, among others.
Thank you.
