Siaya County is gearing up for one of its most ambitious civic mobilization campaigns yet, as TUTAM coordinators roll out a synchronized mass voter registration, national ID issuance, and ID replacement drive aimed at ensuring no eligible resident is left behind. In a strategic high-level planning session, coordinators finalized preparations for an operation expected to significantly boost political participation and civic inclusion ahead of upcoming election cycles.
At the heart of the initiative lies a simple but powerful message: every citizen counts, and every citizen must be counted.
For years, access to voter registration and national identification services has been uneven—especially in remote, underserved, and marginalized areas. TUTAM’s grassroots-driven plan directly tackles these historical barriers, bringing essential services closer to the people through a coordinated, countywide outreach effort.
The campaign’s goal is not only to increase voter turnout but also to ensure all eligible residents have the identification necessary to access government services, economic opportunities, and social programs. Registration is more than a civic duty—it is the gateway to representation, fairness, and accountability.
The mobilization has been strengthened through support from Dr. Raymond Omollo, whose funding has enabled TUTAM coordinators to set up accessible, transparent, and efficient registration mechanisms across Siaya. Special emphasis has been placed on inclusivity, ensuring women, youth, persons with disabilities, and marginalized communities can obtain services without difficulty.
Designated registration centers will operate across the county, supported by local leaders, civil society groups, and community networks to maximize turnout and awareness.
Residents are urged to seize this rare, combined rollout of voter and ID services. Whether you need to register as a new voter, replace a lost ID, or obtain your first national identification card, now is the moment to act.
Participating in this initiative means:
Securing your legal identity
Accessing key government services
Strengthening your stake in county leadership
Ensuring your voice influences Siaya’s political and developmental direction
Citizens are encouraged to follow updates shared by TUTAM, local media, community groups, and administrators for exact dates, centers, and schedules. With collective participation, Siaya can set a new benchmark for democratic engagement at the grassroots level.
The message is unmistakable:
Register. Be counted. Shape Siaya’s future.
This civic initiative marks a bold step toward expanding democratic participation through strategic planning, committed leadership, and strong community partnerships. Every eligible citizen is called to play their part in building a more inclusive, representative, and empowered Siaya County.
