Day Two of the 12th KICOSCA Games exploded with high-octane action across Siaya County, with football, basketball and handball serving up gigantic duels captured vividly through the lens of ace photographer Samson Wire.
At Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Stadium, both men’s and women’s football lit up the terraces as counties battled for bragging rights. Hosts Siaya thrilled home fans with a hard-fought victory over Kiambu in the men’s category, sealing one of the day’s headline results.
Across town at the Siaya National Polytechnic, basketball powerhouses clashed in back-to-back matches. Uasin Gishu shone brightest, their fluid transitions and sharp shooting earning admiration from fans and rivals alike.
Meanwhile, at Holy Cross Secondary School in Ng’iya, the handball courts roared with intensity. Siaya’s own Elizabeth Ochogo delivered a standout performance, steering the home side to a narrow but memorable win over Meru in the women’s event. The men’s and women’s matches throughout the day showcased grit, skill and county pride in equal measure.
The rest — the joy, sweat, heartbreak, and explosive action — is immortalised in the stunning frames of Samson Wire, who captured every leap, tackle and celebration as KICOSCA 2025 entered full throttle.
