Communication personnel from the County Government of Siaya have begun a four-day intensive workshop aimed at strengthening website management and improving the county’s digital communication systems.

The training brings together staff from the Department of Public Communication to assess the current functionality of the county’s official website and identify areas that require improvement. The workshop seeks to ensure that Siaya’s online platforms meet modern standards of digital governance, accessibility and public information delivery.

The team will also scrutinize existing content on the county website to determine whether it meets professional communication standards. Discussions will focus on improving the accuracy, clarity and relevance of information published online to ensure residents receive timely and reliable updates from the county administration.

Another key objective of the training is to standardize the website’s branding to reflect the official identity of the county government. Participants will work on harmonizing the design with the county’s official colours, logo and visual identity to ensure consistency across all digital communication channels.

The initiative forms part of broader efforts by the county administration to strengthen ICT capacity and improve public communication systems. Digital platforms are increasingly being prioritized to enhance service delivery, transparency and citizen engagement in county governance.
