ADVERTA fresh opinion poll from Mizani Africa has placed Deputy Governor Dr. William Oduol at the forefront of the Siaya gubernatorial contest for 2027. The survey shows Oduol leading with 27.9% voter preference, ahead of incumbent Governor James Orengo at 24.5% and former Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo at 19.8%. David Ochieng follows with 13.3%, while 14.5% of respondents remain undecided.
Released on February 19, 2026, the poll by Mizani Africa – a respected Kenyan firm known for accurate predictions in past elections – asked Siaya voters who they would support if elections were held today. The results highlight a competitive and fluid race in this key Luo Nyanza county.
