Siaya County has officially joined a powerful global movement following the successful launch of the Soroptimist International Club of Siaya in a landmark event held at Distinction Gardens.
The elegant ceremony, which drew a distinguished gathering of professionals, community leaders, and development champions, marked a defining moment in the county’s journey toward advancing women’s empowerment and social transformation. The event was graced by prominent female leaders, among them Scholastica Masidis Madowo, whose leadership has been instrumental in bringing the global network to Siaya.
The installation and charter ceremony signaled more than just the formation of a club—it heralded the beginning of a structured, sustained effort to uplift women and girls through education, mentorship, and economic empowerment initiatives.
