Juja MP George Koimburi has finally spoken out about his controversial abduction.
Speaking at his hospital bed the MP who has been visibly disoriented appears to have regained his faculties and recounted bone-chilling details about the abduction.
“I had just stepped out of Full Gospel Churches of Kenya when I was ambushed by unknown goons who blindfolded me and drugged me through my nose,” Koimburi recounted.
Whatever substance was administered through the nose it had the effect of knocking him out for several hours as he only regained consciousness to find himself dumped in a remote coffee farm in Kiambu County.
Unlike the police version which says Koimburi was discovered by a lady who was part of the self-abduction plot, the MP claims it was a Bodaboda riders who found him.
The Bodaboda rider then alerted his family who rushed him to hospital.
“When I regained consciousness, I didn’t know where I was. I thank God for the Good Samaritan who helped me,” he said.
Koimburi condemned the rising cases of forced disappearances in the country, calling on authorities to act decisively and protect citizens from acts of terror.
A section of the media has been driving a narrative that the legislator organized for his own abduction. Already a number of accomplices have been arrested, including his Personal Assistant.
Police Inspector General Douglas Kanja acting on information from the DCI has issued statements showing the legislator faked his own abduction. According to the DCI investigations, numerous inconsistencies were uncovered leading to doubting Koimburi’s abduction story.
Koimburi who claims that he is being harassed by government because of his political affiliation, is closely associated to DCP Party leader and former Deputy President Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua.
