ADVERTISEMENT A quiet rural compound turned into a scene of heartbreak on Friday, December 2, when 51-year-old Akumu Ogonda was discovered collapsed and comatose in his home. Just minutes earlier, he had made a desperate phone call to former schoolteacher and his boss, Sylvester Olwalo, complaining of excruciating stomach cramps.
Olwalo rushed to the scene in under five minutes, only to find Ogonda slumped lifelessly in a chair. Despite an immediate rush to Uradi Catholic Mission Hospital, the father of four was pronounced dead on arrival.
