Nairobi has been left reeling after the grim mystery of a woman discovered wrapped like a parcel near a courier drop-off point finally took a chilling turn.
A post-mortem released on Monday confirms the woman, believed to be in her early 30s, died from blunt force trauma to the head—her injuries consistent with a violent assault.
Her body, bound in plastic and packaging tape, appeared staged as a delivery item in a macabre attempt to conceal the crime. The bizarre discovery horrified both investigators and the public.
Neighbours described her as soft-spoken and kind, often helping elderly residents with groceries or exchanging warm words with children heading to school. “She had a gentle spirit and didn’t deserve this,” one neighbour said.
Police have now classified the case as homicide and launched a full-scale manhunt. Surveillance footage from nearby shops is under review, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
As her grieving family prepares for burial, the community mourns not only the loss of a life but the cruelty with which it was hidden. In death, her voice was silenced—but her story has forced the nation to listen.
