The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has intensified its crackdown on hate speech and incitement ahead of the 2027 General Election, arresting a prominent Bunge la Mwananchi speaker in Nakuru over inflammatory and dangerous remarks captured in a viral video.
The suspect, 52-year-old Andrew Muriithi, was apprehended in the Shabab area of Nakuru West after detectives tracked him down following widespread circulation of footage showing him allegedly inciting violence and urging resistance against authority.
